Western Waterfront
Client: Gloucester City Council
Location: Gloucester
DNS lead the production of a concept master plan of a 100 hectare site, located between the bank of the river Severn and the core of Gloucester city centre. The area includes the Gloucester-Sharpness canal, a number of historically-significant buildings and a series of distinct character areas.
DNS created a concept master plan which stimulated interest in this declining area and has proven very successful in regenerating this part of the city and attracting grant aid and investment. The Western Waterfront is now the home of a number of businesses, including the recently-relocated GLOSCAT further education college.
